‘Majesty’ was the original name of Dream Theater. The band found out they had to change the band name just prior to the release of ‘When Dream and Day Unite’ when a Las Vegas-based group, also named ‘Majesty,’ threatened legal action for intellectual property infringement related to the use of the name.
